The Tumornators Creative Consultants team invites everyone to come out to Wild Bill’s Atlanta on  Nov. 28 for the 2nd Annual Rock4Research benefit concert!

The concert features Matt Moore opening for headliner Rhett Akins. His country hits include “What They’re Talking About,” “That Ain’t My Truck” and the No. 1 hit “Don’t Get Me Started.”

Atlanta Braves’ Jeff Francoeur, Matt Stinchcomb of the NFL, Hall of Famer Morten Anderson and other sports stars will spend time with guests at a VIP part beforehand.  VIPs will also be able to enjoy catered food by Chick-Fil-A, Chili’s and Kroger.  VIPs will also have the opportunity to bid in a silent auction featuring signed sports memorabilia and other exclusive items.  VIPs are also guaranteed to receive a signed picture of Francoeur! (This would be a great Christmas present. Hint! Hint!)

All funds raised by The Tumornators are donated directly to The Children’s Tumor Foundation. The jefffrancoeurfoundation is dedicated to raising money and awareness for the painful illnesses Neurofibromatosis and Schwannomatosis.

Rock4Research tickets will be available at the door and online. It costs $20 for the VIP party and $10 general admission. The VIP party begins at 8:00 p.m., and doors open for general admission at 7:00 p.m.

The first 50 guests will receive a Rock4Research T-shirt signed by Francoeur.

$20 for a signed picture of Francoeur, Chick-Fil-A, a rockin’ concert and all for a great cause- sign me up! (And who doesn’t like a free t-shirt?)

As you can imagine, I’m fired up about this year’s PRofessional CONNECTION. The spirit and buzz around this conference has stretched all the way down to Atlanta, with professionals eager to meet and network with students from one of the finest journalism schools in the country. The theme of this year’s conference, “It’s Your Network,” could not be more fitting for the world we currently live in. From web conferencing, to blogs, to networking events like this one – students and professionals who embrace the field of communications are linked to each other and the world better than ever.

I’m also excited that each of you will have the opportunity to hear Kim Sammons, V.P. in Porter Novelli’s healthcare practice, as the featured keynote. I know her years of experience and insight will reverberate within each of you as you begin to explore your first career out of college.

I hope you all are available to take this opportunity to attend PRofessional CONNECTION and I look forward to seeing you there.

As much as we don’t want to admit it, the fall ‘08 semester will soon be in our midst. So, just what have PRSSA-ers been doing all summer?

That’s just a few of our friends, but we know SO many of you have been doing fun things this summer.

Let us know what you’ve been up to!
